Lifeguard Certifications

There are a variety of options available for those pursuing Lifeguard Certification. Some of these options are more accessible than others. In other words, there are some certification options that require certain courses and training to earn or maintain one’s certification. However, the required courses are, often times, unavailable in many geographic locations.
If you are interested in becoming a certified lifeguard, it is important to compare your options from the perspective of course availability, accessibility, cost, program quality, level of customer service and recertification requirements. If one ignores these elements, it may be difficult, if not impossible, to locate the appropriate and required courses when the time comes to renew a lifeguard certificate.
The World Academy of Safety & Health (WASH) certification program seems to check all the boxes. They have certification courses available throughout the United States, Europe, the Caribbean, the Pacific Rim, Asia, and South America. They also provide high-levels of responsive customer support and do not roll out specific requirements until and unless the appropriate infrastructure is in place to support such requirements. Hence, fulfilling requirements for certification and recertification is a streamlined, less frustrating and less expensive process when compared with other industry options.
